What is the e-tron GT?
The e-tron GT joined the lineup as Audi's first all-electric sedan in 2022. The e-tron GT has a sleek and sporty design that is not just for show. It comes equipped with two electric motors — one in the front and the other in the rear — which churn out 469 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque, or 522 hp and 472 lb-ft when the temporary Boost mode is engaged. All-wheel drive comes standard thanks to the dual-motor layout, and since it's an electric vehicle, expect the GT to drive like a high-performance sports car. Even with all that prowess, the GT manages to provide an uncomplicated driving experience.
The e-tron GT utilizes a 93-kWh battery pack, and EPA-estimated range currently sits at 238 miles, although we managed to drive 273 miles on a single charge in our testing of a 2022 model. The 2024 e-tron GT starts at nearly $108,000, but that number isn't surprising at all. Along with its great exterior design and impressive performance, you can expect a luxe and functional interior. Standard technology inside the cabin includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a wireless charging pad, and an awesome Bang & Olufsen premium audio system.
For 2024, all e-tron GTs add a few standard features: Power Steering Plus, which reduces steering effort at low speeds, LED interior lighting plus, which allows you to choose from 30 colors to highlight aspects of the interior, and illuminated doorsill inlays. The Prestige trim gets Matrix-design LED headlights with Audi laser light — which doubles the range of the high beams — and a faux suede headliner as standard equipment.
As much as we find the e-tron GT a stunning EV, it faces off against a strong set of competitors, including the Porsche Taycan, the Lucid Air, the Tesla Model S and the Mercedes-Benz EQS sedan.
